Projects Coordinator: ROCIO URIARTE (Spain) coordinates Mothers at Risk’s projects portfolio and is also Project Manager for Haiti. She obtained degrees in Economics from the University of Maryland and the College of Europe, Bruges. After a few years in the European Commission she went back to Madrid where she worked in export finance for 15 years. She now lives in Brussels. |

Egypt Project Manager: BECCA NASRALLAH (Lebanon) serves as Project Manager for Egypt and is a member of the Mothers at Risk Fund Management Committee at the King Baudouin Foundation. She grew up between Lebanon, Kuwait and London and is a dental surgeon by training. |

Nicaragua Project Manager: KATHLEEN BECKMANN (Germany) currently the Nicaragua Country Director for the German Ministry for Development Cooperation (BMZ) based at the German Embassy in Managua. |

Peru Project Manager: CRISTINA SAMITIER (Argentina) coordinates all financial, legal and administrative matters and leads needs assessment processes across projects. She also serves as Project Manager for Peru. She has degrees in business and accounting from Argentina and an MBA from INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau / Singapore. She worked in Mergers and Acquisitions in Argentina for 8 years and was most recently a management consultant at Bain & Company Belgium. |

Cameroon Project Manager: MARIA ESCUBOS (Spain/Germany) received a degree in European Studies and Modern Languages from the University of Bath in 2010 and is currently enrolled at University College London on the MSc programme in European Public Policy.. She now lives between London and Brussels and travels regularly to Cameroon to support local development initiatives. |

Nepal Project Manager DR. JULIA BORNEMANN (Germany) is a sociologist and historian with a Master’s Degree in Mediation and Conflict Resolution and a Ph.D in communication science from the European University Viadrina, Frankfurt. She has worked for the German Ministry of Economics on developing electronic voting and research in egovernment and edemocracy. After living for several years in Brussels, Julia now supports MAR from Berlin, where she works as a mediator in Berlin. |

Research Coodinator: BRIGITTE STRAATHOF (The Netherlands) After obtaining her Master's Degree in International Law from the University of Leiden, Brigitte has worked at the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and at the The Hague Chamber of Commerce As a volunteer she has supported refugees and inmates in foreign prisons and served on the Board of several international schools, and she is now a Ph.D candidate in the field of international refugee law. She has lived in Saudi Arabia, Japan, Spain and Germany and currently lives in Brussels. |

Projects Research Officer: PENELOPE WYATT VERSECKAS (England/Greece) Having worked in publishing and international education from primary to university level across Central and Eastern Europe, she moved to Brussels in 2006 with her family from Lithuania. Her degrees are from Surrey, St Andrews (UK) and Framingham, (Mass., USA). |

Fundraising Coordinator: MIRIAM CACERES (Peru) coordinates all fundraising activities at Mothers at Risk. She obtained a degree in Business Administration in Peru and an MBA in International Marketing in Germany and has sales and marketing experience for the medical devices and in pharmaceutical industries. |

Events Manager: PAULINE CAMACHO (Switzerland/Portugal) is Director of Level 13 Europe, a boutique EU policy consultancy. Pauline is a conference interpreter at the European Union institutions (from English, French, Portuguese and Spanish into German), and is a trained psychotherapist. |

Donor Relations Manager JOLA MONTGELAS (Germany) A historian by training, she has lived in Portugal, Turkey and in India as the wife of a diplomat, and now resides in Brussels. She has been involved for six years with the Choir and Orchestra of the Chapelle des Minimes,. both as soprano and as part of the Choir’s administration. |

Sales Manager CAROLINE BORGGREVE (Germany) is an interior designer with degrees from the Inchbald School of Design in London and the Handwerkskammer in Germany. Caroline has worked in Florence sourcing suppliers for local interior designers and in Frankfurt developing a strategy for Furniture Retailer Helberger and managing her own design shop. |
